Mentors
 
The Pilates Hive wants to offer students the chance to meet and interact with Pilates teachers from within the industry as a way of helping them build a network and see what working within the Pilates industry is like. That's where Mentors come into play. Almost like a Big Brother/Big Sister program for Pilates teachers.
When applying for the role of Mentor please keep in mind the following:

• Mentors should be courteous and friendly - remember what it was like when you were a trainee teacher?
• Mentors should be open to questions and willing to provide answers in a timely manner
• The Mentor program is a voluntary program and there is no renumeration involved
• Ultimately the purpose of the Mentorship program is to provide a positive experience to the students 
• Students attending Mentors studios or teaching spaces are covered by The Pilates Hive insurance for purposes of observation hours, practice teaching and self mastery.
• If accepting students to observe classes or complete practice teaching hours with you, students should be given clear instructions and guidelines to work within your space. Students not following these instructions will lose access to the Mentor program and may be ejected from the course. 
• Mentors are independent from The Pilates Hive and have no direct influence on the course outcomes of the student. Mentors cannot determine course competency or influence the outcome of practical or written assessment tasks. Mentors can give feedback on students performance to students or to The Pilates Hive

Mentors are free to remove themselves or pause their participation in this program at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Mentors will be asked to leave the program if we believe that they have acted in ways that inhibit the delivery of courses at The Pilates Hive, endangered a student, or demonstrated negative behaviour towards a student, The Pilates Hive, our teacher trainers or other Mentors.

Entering the world of Pilates teacher training is a big undertaking and we appreciate every little bit of support we can get. Afterall everyone needs a cheerleader on their side from time-to-time. Affiliates are our cheerleaders. They're the positive folk who are telling everyone they know who may be interested about our courses. 

• Affiliates receive a unique 5% discount code that they can give and share freely 
• Anyone using that code to purchase one of the courses at The Pilates Hive earns the Affiliate a 5% rebate of the total cost of the purchase
• Payment is made via Paypal in Australian dollars, so Affiliates will need to have a valid Paypal account
• Affiliates are permitted to use The Pilates Hive logo to help in promoting their code
• Affiliates are not employees of The Pilates Hive
